Secured loans an option 'to be considered'
17/01/2008Consumers looking at relieving their debt stress should not "bury their heads in the sand," one expert has warned.
According to a spokesman for Debt Help UK, many people are not fully aware of all the options available to them and as a result tend to put off addressing issues of financial management.
Iain Wrenshall, director of the group, said that it was "incredibly important" for people to seek help if they are unsure of the options available to them - which can often include secured loans and debt consolidation.
"So it is important that people don't bury their heads in the sand, but look for free advice which is going to help them understand the solutions and the options open to them," he said.
For many people struggling with personal debt, a secured loan can be an affordable way to consolidate their repayments into one monthly repayment.
