Competition offers secured loan customers chance to take a year off mortgage payments
29/07/2008People paying off their mortgage could be able to take a year off thanks to a new competition from a high street lender.
Nationwide is offering any customer who has a mortgage interview either in person or over the phone between July 28th and September 30th the chance to win the perk by entering them in the contest.
Ten lucky winners will be pulled out of the hat and given one year of assistance paying off what is likely to be the biggest loan they ever take out.
According to Nationwide director of mortgages Matthew Carter, the company feels "great to be in a position to launch this prize draw".
He said: "If customers get a mortgage interview before the end of September, they stand a chance of being mortgage free for a year - an added incentive to find a new deal before their current one runs out."
Nationwide recently released its fifth sustainability report, Better Society 2007, which is available to view on its website.
